My AeroWeek #4
Good morning and welcome to my blog. This is my 4th post about my year in Globalia. This week we worked again with the Hydraulic System. We finished the practice of the Piper Seneca and the Hydraulic Pump test. After this practice, we went back to the Turbocommander, but this time we made a practice of the Reservoir. In the Hydraulic System, the Reservoir has the function to storage the fluid, in this system the Hydraulic fluid.
In this practice, we removed and installed the Reservoir. The Turbocommander is a small aircraft and work inside is so difficult. You haven't got space to work comfortable. I made the installation of the Reservoir and connected all the pipes and connectors of the system. At first it was overwhelming to be there inside, but in the end you get used to it and you do your job.
Since Wednesday, we started the practice of the Engine Driven Pump of the right engine of the Turbocommander. This pump is responsible for supplying the pressure needed by the engine through the use of hydraulics. To remove and install the pump, I had to climb over the wing once again. It was not difficult since I removed and installed the pump and its connections.
In addition, I have started studying for the Module 7 exam that we have on October 31st. It is a very long and tedious module that has 3 exams: 1 test and 2 development. And I'm still studying for the theoretical driving test.
On the football team, this weekend we won against Es Pla 1-0. It was a tense match for the result, although we dominated throughout the game and hardly generated chances. Good result to get 8th in the standings.
This has been my week explained in summary, I hope you liked it and that it was good to read.
Best regards!
PS: I would like to mention the victims of Sant Llorenç and Llevant after the catastrophes caused by bad weather. We hope that everything returns to normal as soon as possible and they can continue with their lives.
Good work!
