My AeroWeek #9

Good morning and welcome to my blog about my year in Globalia. I'm going to tell you my week in my 9th post. This week has been quite light compared to the previous ones, although on Friday we had a rivet test (Module 6). I think it was not very difficult but I made some silly mistake. In the end, we finish with the theory of ATA 32, Landing Gear, a very difficult and tedious subject. I think that together with ATA 27, Flight Controls, it will cost me a lot to study for the Module 11 exam. On Wednesday, we started with Oxygen System, ATA 35. This topic is much shorter and simpler than the others. It also combines a bit with the ATA 21, Air Conditioning. In the practices, we finished with the Combustion Heater and started with the disassembly of the Turbocompressor. I do this task together with Dani and we have done it quite well. We disassembled all the turbocompressor and assembled again many parts and components. Next week, we will finish the Turbocompressor practice which was

Good morning and welcome to my 8th post of my blog. Eight weeks already writing my adventures for Globalia, who was going to say it. We finished the Theory Of Flight lessons and started with the Landing Gear, which is the ATA 32. At the beginning, I thought that this Unit could be very simple, but I failed. It turned out to be more complex and long. Honestly it has been difficult for me to attend class because the book is not clear. On the other hand, we started with the Air Conditioning practices, ATA 21. I returned to work with the same group that I had before in the Hydraulic practices. We started this ATA removing a Combustion Heater from the Turbocommander. Its function is heat the air directed to the cabin. I had to get inside the Turbocommander to remove it once more, because none of the group was willing to do it. It was difficult because of the discomfort and the amount of connectors and tubes that I had to disconnect. However, I did my job in the best possible way and I am

My AeroWeek #7

Good morning and welcome to my blog. This is my 7th post about my year in Globalia. This week has been very light, except for the Module 7 exam (Maintenance Practices). In class, we follow with the Theory Of Flight lessons (Module 11) that we started the last week. In the practices, we finished with the Starter Generator, and with the 24th and 33rd ATAs (Electrical Power and Lights). Also, we started to work with the Turbocompressor and Air Conditioning systems, ATA 21. However, we were also reviewing for Wednesday's exam. There were 3 exams (1 test and two developments) and we hope that they go well. Hopefully I can pass and it will be worth studying so much. Meanwhile, this week we had two rather complicated games. The first against Can Picafort in his field, in which we draw 2-2. It was a shame to waste taking those 3 points, but it became a very physical match despite starting playing very well and winning the match. Unfortunately, the second game we lost against Porto Cris

Hello and welcome to my blog about my year in Globalia, explaining in my 6th post my last week. In this week we worked again with the Electrical Power (ATA 24) and Lights (ATA 33). First of all, we worked testing the lights of a small plane and its generators. Then we were working with the Turbocommander and its voltage regulators. The voltage regulators are curious because they look like an old car as you can see in the photos. It was difficult to remove it because it was located in a very small place on the Turbocommander. After that, we removed an electrical battery which supplies 24 V in DC. This battery is a set of cells which contains electrolyte of Nickel-Cadmium. Also, we tested its continuity, isolation and voltage inside the cells. Finally, we started other practice about the starter generator, which is so important to start the engines. Each engine has one starter generator and we worked on the left starter generator. This weekend, we won against Sant Marçal 2-4. It was
